Fundraising Art Workshop September 2021 By Tanvi Kosgi

On Saturday, September 26, Aadhya and I set up an art workshop for younger kids at my house to raise money for the kids at St. Jude’s children’s hospital. We bought supplies like pencils, colored pencils, drawing paper, and crayons. We set up the supplies in my basement and had the event from 2 to 5 PM.

We waited for the kids to arrive and they started to file in one by one. We had around thirty kids show up in the span of three hours. We gave them paper and a pencil along with the choice of picking a sample drawing that Aadhya or I had previously drawn. They could replicate or draw inspiration from the samples or choose to free draw. They could call for help or more supplies if needed and Aadhya and I would provide them. The kids had a lot of fun and left with a completed drawing.

On top of that, we raised a total of $320 and donating it all to St. Jude’s children’s hospital to go towards the better care of child cancer patients and research.
