My contribution to VikramSat by Ananya Janapareddy
India's first privately developed rocket, Vikram S, Was launched on november 18th 2022 from Satish Dhawan space centre. The launchpad at Sriharikota of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is where the rocket was launched from. The 545kg and 65ft rocket was developed by Skyroot Aerospace. ISRO and IN-SPACe assisted in the launching of the rocket. The rocket was named after Vikram Sarabhai. Vikram Sarabhai was an Indian astronomer, researcher, and physicist and he is known as the father of space programming in india.

Skyroot Aerospace became the first Indian private company to reach outer space through the Vikram S. Rocket. Skyroot was carrying payloads for Space Kidz, Bazoomq and N-Space Tech. The rocket was a successful project which reached an apogee of 89.5 km. The mission was named Prarambh. The Vikram-S rocket is a single-stage sub-orbital launch vehicle.

I express my gratitude to AVS academy for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime to be a part of this extraordinary project. Through AVS academy I got the chance to partake in this project by programming a chip (which was sent as a payload of the space kids program), Study astrology through the FUNSAT course provided to us students, and finally earn my diploma. aboard India’s first private rocket Vikram-S on Mission Prarambh by SKYROOT was FunSat, a student-led mission.
