Bi-Weekly Meeting Recap
We are pleased to share a summary of our recent bi-weekly meeting and celebrate the remarkable progress achieved across our projects. Thank you to every student, researcher, mentor, and volunteer whose dedication continues to drive innovation and impact.
Space Debris Project
The team has accomplished an extraordinary milestone with the Space Debris Project. What began in 2020 as a simple Java-based application has evolved into a sophisticated AI-powered platform with advanced tracking and analytical capabilities. The website is now fully functional, reflecting years of perseverance, innovation, and teamwork. Special appreciation goes to the entire development team for making this vision a reality. We will continue enhancing the platform, and with Skanda’s support, we look forward to showcasing the project at an upcoming workshop. We also plan to leverage several of its innovative features across other research initiatives.
VR in Pain Management
We are excited to announce that the VR Pain Management application is scheduled for publication on the Android platform this week. This project represents a significant achievement and provides valuable lessons that will help shape future healthcare-focused immersive technology solutions. Special thanks to the entire team for their hard work and to Sushmita for her outstanding guidance and leadership throughout the project.
Banfield Foundation Fundraising Initiative
Thanks to the exceptional commitment and dedication of our students, we have successfully surpassed the significant fundraising milestone of $5,000. This achievement reflects the collective effort, passion, and generosity of everyone involved. Congratulations and sincere appreciation to all contributors for making this accomplishment possible.
Quantum Medicine and Quantum Computing
We are pleased to announce the integration of our Quantum Medicine and Quantum Computing initiatives into a unified research track. Reyansh will lead this effort and conduct weekly touchpoints with participating project teams to foster collaboration, accelerate innovation, and ensure successful execution.
Microchimerism Research
A special thank you to Reshmita for her insightful presentation on Microchimerism and its research potential. Her work has identified several promising avenues for exploration and the development of meaningful research artifacts. Reshmita will lead this track and help bring greater scientific rigor, structure, and momentum to the initiative.
Gene Therapy Research and AI
We are embarking on an exciting effort to consolidate four years of research, innovation, and knowledge into a unified platform focused on Gene Therapy and Artificial Intelligence. Hruthvik will lead this initiative with support from Sisirala, helping transform years of work into a scalable and impactful research ecosystem.
GenUN and UNA Membership
I strongly encourage every student to become a GenUN member and every adult professional to join as a UNA member. These organizations provide access to a wealth of global opportunities, innovation initiatives, leadership experiences, networking connections, and charitable engagements that can significantly enhance personal and professional growth.
AI-Powered Sickle Cell Anemia Research
Meetings for the AI Sickle Cell Anemia Research project will resume on December 2. The primary objective remains the publication of research articles by the end of the year, contributing meaningful advancements to the field while strengthening our research portfolio.
Closing Remarks
The breadth of innovation across our portfolio continues to be truly inspiring. From AI and healthcare to quantum technologies, space research, and humanitarian initiatives, each project reflects our shared commitment to advancing science, technology, education, and social impact. Thank you for your passion, dedication, and collaborative spirit. I look forward to our continued success and the exciting milestones ahead.
